In early February the East Birmingham Renewal Group (the housegroup that supports Roger, Helen and Annie) travelled to Shallowford House in Staffordshire for our annual retreat. This year we were honoured to be led in the retreat by Robin, Carole and Maggie from Travelling Light. Robin and Carole have long been friends with EBRG and, it is great to see them developing their own ministry leading retreats from their own home, with links to the Northumbria Community.
They particularly led us to think about silence, and gave us lots of creative activities to do to help us draw close to God. The team left us after dinner on the Saturday, and on Sunday morning we took time as EBRG to reflect on all that had been said, and to think and pray about where God is leading the ministry.It is always so good to sit and take stock on a weekend away together.
