Slotted in between the various musicals in a day and visits to Cyprus, the CMM had been rehearsing and performing a special evening of Christmas music. Annie had looked back over the choir's performances of While Shepherds Watched, Simeon and The Inn Crowd in recent years, and gathered together a wonderful programme incorporating traditional carols.
They performed at four venues - St Thomas' in Aldridge, St Germain's in Edgbaston, Woodside Avenue Methodist in Coventry, and Holy Trinity in West Bromwich. The final performance clashed with another event for Annie, so Phil Parkin the founder of the CMM choir, was able to conduct in her place. Phil had also led a couple of the rehearsals while Annie was on sabbatical. Sylvia played the organ for some of the carols too, which was fun.
