The CMM Choir in action

Over November and December the CMM choir were very busy indeed performing While Shepherds Watched across the West Midlands.  After working hard for a number of weeks under their choir trainers Sylvia and Annie, the series of productions were at:

St Germain's, Edgbaston
St Bartholomew's, Tardebigge
St Thomas', Aldridge
Chasetown Methodist Church
Carter's Lane Baptist Church

Some of the venues had never welcomed the choir before, so it was lovely for them to experience some new locations.  They were brilliantly supported by technicians Paul and Kim.

There were a number of excellent soloists who shared the parts out between them - Debbie, Sue, Rachel, Elaine, Linda, Miriam, Fran, Jonathan, Pete, Alan, Adrian, David and Edgar.

The choir put a lot of imagination into their performances, including lots of cuddly toy sheep in the infamous 'Sheep' song, and also a doll to represent Jesus so that the soloist playing Joseph could take the baby out into the audience and invite them to 'Come, see the beauty of the King'.  Annie had also written some beautiful narrations to accompany the musical - telling the story from the perspective of two angels looking back at events.  The narrators were excellent and shared the story with power and emotion.

Well done to the choir, and huge thanks go to Annie, Sylvia, the CMM choir committee, the host churches, and all of those who came to speak at the performance.
